The British noble brand Aston Martin was taken over by a group of investors around the racing entrepreneur David Richards. The sports car enthusiast Richards had striven for financially strong partners for months in order to be able to secure the luxury brand for Great Britain and their independence from the mass manufacturer Ford. Richards could secure himself the support of investors from the Near East, among them the companies Investment Dar and Adeem Investment from Kuwait as well as the company Naeem Capital belonging to the Egyptian investment bank.

Lamborghini presented the Gallardo Superleggera at the Geneva exhibition. Carbon construction units lower the weight of the V10-racer by 100 kilograms. The Superleggera will be built in small series starting from summer 2007. The V10-engine in the Superleggera has 10 PS more. The power rises up to 530 PS. Equipped like this the lightweight is to pass the 100 km/h mark in 3.8 seconds. Nevertheless 0.2 seconds faster than the basis coupé.
